FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Appointments No Longer Required for Access to Daggett County Offices
Members of the public who need to conduct business with offices located inside the Daggett County building and courthouse no longer need to make an appointment first.
The Daggett County Commission dropped the appointment-only requirement on Thursday, May 28. The requirement was instituted by the commissioners on March 26, to help protect county employees and the public from COVID-19. To date, the county has had no confirmed cases of novel coronavirus.
At this time, masks or face coverings are not required for visitors to the county building. Plexiglass partitions have been installed at the service windows for each office in the building for the safety of staff and visitors.
Please do not come to the county building if you or someone in your house has symptoms of COVID-19, including a fever, dry cough and shortness of breath. Also, please do not send someone from your house to conduct your business for you if they have had close contact with you in the past 14 days and you have symptoms of COVID-19.
Individuals should continue to practice social distancing and gatherings that take place inside the county building will be limited in size based on current guidelines for the Low Risk (Yellow) phase. Those guidelines can be found here: coronavirus-download.utah.gov/Health/Phased_Health_Guidelines_V4.5.3_05262020.pdf.
The public is encouraged to continue conducting as much business as possible with the county by phone or email. Citizens can also make payments online at www.daggettcounty.org/385/Online-Payments.
Many of the DMV’s services, including renewing your vehicle registration, can be accessed on the division’s website: https://dmv.utah.gov/.
