[ARCHIVED] PPE help for Small Businesses

Hundred Dollar bill with Facemask on Benjamin Franklin.

Vernal, UT May 7, 2020 – TriCounty Health Department (TCHD) and local Emergency Management in Daggett, Duchesne and Uintah Counties are working to supply local small businesses with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This program is open to businesses with 50 employees or less.

In an order issued by Governor Gary Herbert on May 1, 2020, businesses are required to wear masks while interacting with the public. This requirement was put into place in an effort to allow businesses to open while continuing to slow the spread of COVID-19 throughout the state. Small businesses in Utah may be eligible for a PPE Push Pack, which may include masks, sanitizer, and gloves, depending on the type of business.

Businesses can apply for a PPE Push Pack on coronavirus.utah.gov under “Utah PPE Resources” through the “Business Resources” page. Businesses also have an opportunity to donate PPE and purchase PPE, via the same page on coronavirus.utah.gov.  A link for the “Utah PPE Resources” is also available on tricountyhealth.com Local COVID-19 Situational Update.
