Notice to Contractors
Sealed proposals will be received by Daggett County by the Daggett County Clerk, 95 North 1st West (PO Box 400); Manila, Utah, 84046 until 11:00 a.m., September 29, 2020 for the Daggett County Dutch John Airport 2020 Pavement Preservation Project in Daggett County. Electronic submittals of the proposal will not be accepted, and the contractor is responsible for ensuring that proposals are delivered on time. Proposal forms, plans, and specifications are on file and may be examined at the following locations:

Specifications, proposal forms, and plans may be obtained only from CIVCO Engineering, Inc. at the above location. Each bidder must submit a bid bond from an approved surety company licensed in Utah and in good standing on forms provided by the surety company; or in lieu thereof, cash, certified check, or cashier’s check for not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid, made payable to the Daggett County as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and finish the contract bonds as required. The Daggett County reserves the right to reject any and or all bids. Bids will be opened during the County Commission meeting on September 29, 2020 and the award will be finalized at the September 29, 2020 meeting.
Two pavement preservation options are being considered for the project. The first option is to provide 43,111 square yards of emulsified slurry seal coat. The second option is to provide 43,111 square yards of emulsified asphalt slurry surface treatment. The project also consists of pavement markings and crack sealing of the airport. The surface treatment and final pavement markings for the project is to be completed by July 30, 2021 with crack sealing being completed by March 26, 2021. Crack sealing to be done after November 1, 2020.
