Municipal Election Changes

elections

In Writ of Election, Proclamation and Notice of Election signed by Governor Cox and Lt. Governor Henderson on June 7, 2023 and H.B. 2001 approved by the Legislature and signed by the Governor on June 17, 2023. Election dates for the Congressional contest and Municipal Elections were combined and Counties are now required to run all the elections.

Daggett County is in Congressional District 3, so we will not be voting for Representative Stewart’s replacement. Municipal Primary elections were rescheduled to September 5, 2023 and the General Election will be held on November 21, 2023. The Declaration of Candidacy Forms were due by June 7th and at this time the only election slated is for the Mayor of Manila. Write-in Candidates have until September 18th to complete their Declaration of Candidacy forms to be eligible to receive votes on Election Day.

Details of how the Municipal election(s) will be run will be added to the County website (www.daggettcounty.org/elections) as they become available or you can contact the

Clerk’s Office at 435-784-3154.
